This business was started in 1910 by I. Copnick, and dealt with various aspects of recycling.

In 1945, Ben Etcovitch, a returning veteran from WW II, took over and continued the recycling business.

During the late 50's, Ralph and Michael Etcovitch joined the firm, and remain involved to this day.

In 1963, the company was incorporated as The Copnick Corporation.
